Croatia will shortly see the launch of what will be its third DTH platform.
Mportal reports that the incumbent telco T-THT plans to start what will be a satellite version of its highly successful IPTV operation MAXtv. It will compete with the two DTH platforms – RCS/RDS-owned Digi TV and Mid Europa Partners’ Total TV, with around 50,000 and 6,000 subscribers respectively – already available in the country.
The new T-HT platform is already undertaking trials on Eutelsat Sesat at 16 degrees East, distributing a package of 17 channels encrypted (with the exception of RTL Plus) in Nagravision 3.
