SPI International will gradually take over the operations and technicalities of airing the FILMBOX television channels and centralise its activities in Poland as of today (October 1).
Up until now, the former have been handled by the media company Film Europe through its Czech and Slovak branches, which are located in Prague and Bratislava respectively.
Film Europe operates its own channels – Kino CS, Doku CS and Muzika CS – and will stay on as a partner with SPI International in the theatrical distribution and sales of the FILMBOX channels.
These developments come alongside Ivan Hronec, the owner of Film Europe, selling his share in SPI and the FILMBOX television channels.
