Pace is to bring its international IP, gateway and networks businesses under a new business division. Pace Enterprise will be headed by Dr Mark Loughran, the current MD of Nokia UK & Ireland, who will also join Pace’s ‘executive leadership team’. The development is part of a group strategy designed to enable converged digital services for operators.
“With our industry evolving towards digital convergence into and around the home, the new Pace Enterprise division will accelerate our work with many of the world’s most successful pay-TV operators as well as open up new markets and technology growth opportunities for the Group,” explained Pace CEO Neil Gaydon.
Pace recently secured financing for the €351 million purchase of US gateway company 2Wire following the March purchase of Paris-based IP and cable gateways specialist Bewan Systems SA.
