Russia’s Comstar-UTS may shortly buy the leading cable operator in the Siberian city of Novosibirsk.
According to AKTR and RBK, the acquisition of Siberian Multiservices Networks, which uses the brand name CityHomeNet, is likely to cost Comstar-UTS in the region of $23 million (€17.92 million).
CityHomeNet currently has 61,000 cable and 35,000 broadband internet subscribers.
Comstar-UTS is reported to have filed an application with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) to buy the company.
