Live DVB-T2 in 3D across the RAI

September 2, 2010 09.55 Europe/London By Julian Clover

IBC 2010 – Hall 1, Stand D81. Live demos of all three next generation DVB standards will be on the DVB stand in Amsterdam next week.

DVB-S2 (satellite), DVB-T2 (terrestrial) and DVB-C2 (cable) will be seen side-by-side for the very first time. The DVB will also be using 3D content to demonstrate its role in 3DTV standardisation.

A live DVB-T2 transmission will be broadcast from the Amsterdam TV tower for reception across the RAI exhibition centre. The transmission will consist of both 3D and HD content.

A suitable DVB-T2 receiver will be required for reception, the details for which will shortly be made available on the DVB website.
