IBC 2010 – Hall 5, Stand B40. Amino Communications, which began life as a developer of pure IPTV devices, is to showcase its new Intel-powered Amino Freedom DVB-T hybrid/OTT media centre.
The Amino Freedom features the Intel Atom processor CE4100 and has been specially designed for the delivery of TV-based over-the-top video entertainment. It also features Nokia’s MeeGo for TV operating system and support for internet formats including Adobe Flash and Microsoft Silverlight.
Amino will also launch its own Amino Solutions, designed to allow operators and service providers to manage multiple digital formats. Access to apps, including those from the Intel Appup store, content and product management, and consumption data analysis tools.
Amino CEO Andrew Burke commented: “Our new solutions offering brings together a wide range of expertise into a compelling package, capturing all the leading-edge work we’ve done around the MeeGo operating system with our more traditional strengths in content management, packaging and promotion plus equipment monitoring and quality of service.
Amino’s next generation STi7105 system-on-chip based STB range will also be on display. The company will also be showing the live Tele 2 IPTV service with the EPG developed by Hilversum based Stoneroos.
