Norkring will officially launch Slovenia’s second DTT multiplex today (September 1), exactly three months ahead of ASO in the country.
MUX-B currently employs 18 transmitting sites and has been fully built in just four months, with the majority of the sites having been in test operation as early as July. At launch, it will cover around 85% of the population, with the figure rising to 87-88% by the end of September following the addition of eight more sites.
MUX-B will carry seven national and three regional channels.
Slovenia’s first multiplex is operated by the national public broadcaster RTV Slo.
