Orbit Showtime Network (OSN) is adding new channels to its high definition bouquet and launching a new HD PVR.
In a statement, OSN said that over 110,000 homes have now subscribed to the 12-channel package, which is adding new subscribers at a monthly rate of 30,000. It is a rarity for a Middle East satellite platform to make public any subscriber numbers.
New additions to the HD bouquet include OSN Movies HD and Sky News HD, the first time that the high definition version of the news channel has been made available either outside the UK and Ireland or the Sky’s own HD package.
Also included are Discovery HD, Nat Geo Wild HD, Fox Sports HD and Showsports 1 HD.
