All ISPs belonging to the Latvian Baltkom group have now been connected to the latter’s new generation network (NGN).
According to Baltkom, which is the leading cable operator in the country, the network is capable of offering access speeds of up to 1 Gbps, with each customer being guaranteed a minimum of 100 Mbps.
Baltkom has invested over LVL2.9 million (€4.1 million) in the network, which currently reaches at least 90,000 homes in the capital, Riga, since it began operating in 2009.
