Motive Television has signed an agreement with Antenna Hungária to test its Bestv technology in a pilot programme in Hungary.
Under it, Antenna Hungária plans to evaluate the technology this month in order to make a decision on commercial implementation later in the year.
The project with Antenna Hungária will explore the possibilities of adding catch-up TV and VOD services to the existing MinDig TV DTT platform using Bestv technology.
Motive owns the global distribution rights to Bestv technology outside of Spain and Italy and is continuing to discuss its use as a B2B solution for broadcasters in Europe, the US and Asia. It has struck a similar pilot agreement to the one with Antenna Hungária with TV Nova, the leading broadcaster in the Czech Republic.
