The Comstar-UTS subsidiary MGTS gained an additional 50,000 broadband internet subscribers in Moscow in the first six months of this year.
This helped it begin August with over 300,000 such subscribers in the city and a 10.8% share of the broadband market.
The growth has been attributed to the operator’s flexible tariff policy, implementation of triple play services, a convenient payment system and 24-hour customer support.
Comstar-UTS is present in Moscow and 83 other Russian cities and had 2 million residential pay-TV subscribers at the end of Q1. It holds a 69.93% stake in MGTS.
