The number of fixed broadband subscriptions in Hungary stood at 1.850 million at the end of June, according to data published by the country’s National Communications Authority (NHH).
This compared to 1.829 million at the end of May and 1.624 million 12 months earlier.
While the number of ADSL subscriptions remains relatively constant, take-up of cable broadband is growing steadily. Indeed, the former stood at 800,000 at the end of June, or only 1,000 more than a month earlier and 803,000 in mid-2009.
Cable broadband, on the other hand, was received by 1.050 million subscribers as of the end of June. This was 22,000 more than a month earlier and 229,000 more than in mid-2009.
