Romania’s RCS/RDS has finally begun to address piracy problems surrounding its pan-regional DTH platform Digi TV. Details have also begun to emerge of the latter’s subscriber numbers.
Parabola reports that the platform has completed the transition from Nagravision 2 to Nagravision 3 and 4, thereby hopefully stemming what were believed to be huge financial losses. It also says that Digi TV has around 220,000 subscribers in the Czech Republic and 300,000 in Slovakia.
However, another source – Medialne– puts the Digi TV Czech and Slovak subscriber figures at 300,000 and 280,000 respectively.
