The leading Spanish cable operator ONO has posted revenues of €368 million for the second quarter, down 3.2% on the same period last year. Its half-year revenues were down by an even higher 3.6% year-on-year to €741 million.
EBITDA was also down in Q2 (€176 million, -2.0%) and H1 (€352 million, -2.9%), while net profit was down in Q2 (€11 million, -18.1%) but up in H1 (€28 million, +8.5%).
ONO’s residential subscriber total was unchanged in Q2 (1,904,000) and only 0.1% higher (1,903,000) than a year earlier. Residential cable customers fell by 0.1% to 1,821,000 in Q2 and were 0.7% down on a year earlier.
On the plus side, ARPU rose by 0.1% to €51.6 in Q2 (0.8% year-on-year), while net churn fell by 0.8pp to 13.4% (2.5pp year-on-year).
