The Czech Telecom Office (CTU) has withdrawn permission for the Czech Digital Group (CDG) to use a frequency on its DTT multiplex covering Prague and central Bohemia.
In practice, reports Parabola, this means that the company will no longer distribute the channels TV Noe and the HD version of Prima TV (Prima HD) in both locations.
Commenting on the development, Tomas Vlcek, the head of the CDG, said that it was against the law and that it would be taking legal action.
Although Z1, Public TV and the radio station Proglas are also carried on the same frequency (46) as TV Noe and Prima HD, they in addition employ another one (59) and so will remain available.
