Taiwanese RF equipment manufacturer Microelectronics Technology Inc. (MTI) has been named as one of two suppliers of LNBs to Sky Italia.
MTU will supply its AK541-XT2 four channel single channel product that the satcaster intends to use on all future installations of its twin-tuner PVR.

SCR single cable solution for PVRs will help both Sky Italia and its subscribers by improving installation efficiency and removing the need for additional cables”

Shipments are expected to commence in the third quarter.
