Canal+ inks Serie A deal

July 16, 2010 09.22 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

Canal+ has reached an agreement that guarantees coverage of Italian Serie A in Poland for a further two years.

Although Canal+ has previously shared rights to the league, it now holds them on an exclusive basis. It plans two transmissions from Serie A each week, with the first at the start of the 2010/2011 season on August 28, offering coverage of many games in HD.

Canal+ also holds the rights to the leading English, Spanish, French and Polish (Ekstraklasa) premier leagues in Poland.
