Nearly half (49.1%) of Hungarian homes receiving subscription services opted for digital TV at the end of May, according to data published by the country’s National Communications Authority (NHH).
Figures based on the 14 largest broadcasters, who together account for 80-85% of the market, also show that their digital subscriber total rose by 15,000 in May to 1.240 million.
The number of digital cable and IPTV subscribers rose from 447,000 to 454,000 in May, while the DTH subscriber total increased from 778,000 to 786,000.
