UPC Nederland has announced the launch of HD VOD including Alice in Wonderland and Top Gear specials. Later in the year, the cabler will add movies from 20th Century Fox to the VOD library.
Current movie titles available in HD include Alice in Wonderland, Komt een Vrouw bij de Dokter, Terug naar de Kust, The Twilight Saga, Fame and De Hel van ‘ 63. UPC will add documentaries Top Gear Specials, Seven Wonders of the Solar System, Wild China, NASA’s Story; The Space Age, Life and Oceans.
Later this season, selected movie titles from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will also become available in HD. Following a deal with the studio, a number of titles in SD quality have already been added to the VOD service, including 500 Days of Summer, Jennifer’s Body, Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, Aliens in the Attic.
