Latvia’s leading cable operator Baltkom has plans to launch 4G services.
DB reports that the company is much better to do so than the mobile operators Latvian Mobile Telephone (LMT), Bite and Tele2 Latvia, which have also expressed interest in 4G, as only it has the right to use frequencies suitable for the development of such services.
Baltkom spokesman Lauris Klavins confirmed Baltkom’s plans but refused to provide a timetable for their launch.
Baltkom is a quad play company and provides services to over 140,000 homes in Latvia.
