The Canal+ Group in France has made a large number of its channels available on the iPad with a special application for the device, the company announced today.
With immediate effect, the group’s premium channel are available, Canal+, Canal+ Cinema, Canal+ Sport, Canal+ Decale and Canal+ Family as well as the VOD service Canal+ à la demande.
Also, about 30 channels from the CanalSat bouquet are now available on the go, both via Wi-Fi as well as 3G network connection, including i>Tele, Infosport, l’Equipe TV, MTV, MCM TOP, June, Canal J and Teletoon.
The subscription to the iPad service is free to 5 Stars subscribers and costs €5 per month for 4 and 3 Stars subscribers as part of the Web+Mobile subscription plan. The iPad application for the service can be downloaded free of charge. Canal+ said it now registered over a million downloads for its application for the iPhone and iPod Touch.
