Hungary had 1,820,000 broadband connections as of the end of this April, or 8,000 more than a month earlier, according to data published by the country’s National Communications Authority (NHH).
The ADSL subscriber total stood at 804,000, down by 2,000 on a month earlier, while broadband cable subscriptions grew by 10,000 to reach 1,016,000.
The latter figure was extrapolated from the leading cable operators studied by the NHH, which together account for 80-85% of cable customers. Their broadband subscription total rose from 838,000 to 846,000 in April.
