Polsat owner Zygmunt Solorz-Zak has dismissed out of hand speculation that his company is negotiating with Vivendi to buy the DTH platform Cyfra+.
In a wide-ranging interview in Gazeta Prawna, he said: “the subject does not exist. The two platforms (Cyfrowy Polsat and Cyfra+) compete and there are no talks, no offers or any moves to make such offers. I also would not like to speculate on the subject, as speculation tends to interfere with future activities.”
Solorz-Zak also confirmed that Polsat would be spending billions of zloty in building a telecom network that will eventually offer all Cyfrowy Polsat subscribers a range of additional services, including broadband internet access.
