The Polish national transmission company EmiTel has begun DTT distribution of the local channel TVN Warszawa on a temporary basis until the end of the month.
Poland has been hit by serious flooding that started in the south of the country but has spread north and reached the capital, Warsaw.
TVN Warszawa is seen as an additional way of keeping the public informed of developments.
Aside from TVN Warszawa, EmiTel, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of the incumbent telco TPSA, distributes TVN, Polsat, TV4, TV Puls and the public channels GVP1, TVP2 and TVP Info via DTT.
