Alexander Oudendijk is to leave SES Astra following a reorganization that sees his position as senior vice president sales and marketing taken by Norbert Hoelzle, the current head of ND SatCom, Broadband TV News understands.
Hoelzle is currently the CEO of ND SatCom, a subsidiary company of SES, a post he has held for the last year.
He previously worked for several years as managing director, head of sales and executive board member at T-Systems International. Senior posts were also held at O2, Chase and VIAG Interkom and between1988 and 1994, Hölzle was a NATO Officer with the German Air Force.
56-year old Oudendijk joined SES Astra in 2002 having held a number of senior positions at Hughes in the previous decade. He has also worked for SPAR/Comstream (Canada), Ericsson-GE Mobile Communications (Canada), as well as Siemens (both in Germany and in the Netherlands). The Dutchman is likely to be retained by Astra as a consultant.
