May 9, 2010 09.58 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Dan MarksThe former head of BT Vision is to establish a New Media segment for ProSiebenSat.1.

Dan Marks will head a team that also includes Christoph Bellmer as head of new TV and CEO of SevenSenses and Silke Kuisle who has been named managing director of MyVideo.

“My goal in setting up the New TV division is to establish a new center of competence in which the different business models will complement each other,” said Marks. He left BT in July 2009 amid reports that he was frustrated with the lack of progress made by the IPTV operation.

Bellmer joins from Media Broadcast, but was previously COO of Unitymedia, where he launched the pay-TV channel Arena. His ProSiebenSat.1 responsibilities will include pay-TV and mobile-TV (SevenSenses), video-on-demand and participation television (9Live).

Silke Kuisle will head an expanded management team at the ProSiebenSat.1 video community MyVideo, though Manuel Uhlitzsch remains in place as the division’s CEO. She previously headed the business development department of the New Media und Diversification management segment of the TV Group.
