TDC’s television business, which includes the cablenet YouSee, and its IPTV operations TDC TV increased its customer base by 8.8% over the last 12 months.
TDC, one of Europe’s last telcos to run a cable TV operation, offers its broadband customers the ‘HomeTrio’ package of telephony, broadband and TV.
Between them TDC and YouSee have 1,270,000 subscribers, including 103,000 to TDC TV (up from just 38,000 in Q1 2009), while the YouSee Plus digital package has 144,000.
An additional 38,000 new TV customers have signed up to YouSee over the last 12 months.
YouSee’s revenues of DKK 991m (€133.11) were up 16.7%, delivering EBITDA of DKK 323m, an increase of 20.5%.
