May 6, 2010 21.07 Europe/London By Julian Clover

The number of subscribers to the Swisscom TV IPTV service almost doubled in the 12 months to March 31. The 97.8% rise took subscriber numbers to the former Bluewin-branded service from 139,000 to 275,000 at the end of the period.

Significantly the number of DSL broadband access lines increased by 0.7% to 1.8 million connections. 80,000 customers have already signed up for the bundled triple-play offering combining telephony, Internet and TV.
