Türk Telekom is to hold exclusive talks with Invitel International that could pave the way for the acquisition of the latter’s entire wholesale business.
Portfolio reports that the two parties have agreed to the talks and any deal would be subject to regulatory approval.
Invitel is currently owned by Mid Europa Partners and has interests in CEE and in Turkey. They include an IPTV operation in Hungary, where Invitel provides triple play services.
Agency reports last month put the value of Invitel’s interests in Hungary at up to €250 million.
