Digital terrestrial services are now available in 90% of Latvia, according to Lattelecom, the operator of the country’s DTT platform.
Previously, it adds, FTA analogue services – limited to a maximum of five, though in some places only two channels – covered 99.6% of Latvia. This contrasts with the current situation, in which DTT viewers are offered 33 channels, with the number set to rise to 70 following analogue switch off on June 1.
Lattelecom estimates that around 160,000 households in Latvia have so far moved from analogue to DTT reception.
