CASBAA has announced four new corporate members for 2010, in addition to four new signings announced in February.
The new CASBAA members include Hong Kong-based high-end sports and lifestyle digital content and distribution specialists Asia Media Solutions/World Media Solutions (AMS/WMS); Hong Kong-based satellite services provider APT Group; Vietnam-based content distributor Q.net and UK-based channel operator Travel Channel International.
“The expanding reach of the Association demonstrates a reinvigorated environment for the Asia Pacific subscription-TV industry,” said Simon Twiston Davies, CEO of CASBAA, in a statement. “The range of interest in the Asian market remains remarkable as we quickly emerge from the economic slow-down. The new memberships for 2010 comprise new pay-TV platform operators, new content owners and new technical services providers. All areas touched by digital deployments are booming in Asia.”
When confirming the new memberships, CASBAA finalised its events schedule for the next quarter, including its Vietnam Pay-TV Industry seminar in Hanoi on April 28th; the CASBAA CXO Mobility Summit in Hong Kong on May 19th; the Business of Casual Games in Hong Kong on June 1st; the CASBAA Satellite Industry Forum in Singapore on June 14th and the CASBAA Security Forum in Bangkok on July 14th.
“CASBAA is especially looking forward to working closely with its new members to promote business growth for the region,” added Twiston Davies.
