Brian Sullivan to address ANGA Cable

Sky Deutschland CEO Brian Sullivan will join the opening discussion of the ANGA Cable show on May 4th. Under the headline Cable, Satellite and IPTV: Competing Digital Platforms representatives of the German cable, satellite and DSL network operators will discuss the future of the TV and broadband markets.

Participants of the Strategy Summit will be Dr. Adrian v. Hammerstein (Kabel Deutschland), Dr. Herbert Leifker (Unitymedia), Werner Hanf (NetCologne), Ferdinand Kayser (SES ASTRA), Martina Rutenbeck (Eutelsat visAvision), Dr. Christian P. Illek (Deutsche Telekom), Dr. Andreas Bereczky (ZDF), Lutz Freitag (GdW) and Thomas Braun (president ANGA Association of German Cable Operators) as the host of the event. The presenter will be Frank Thomsen, editor-in-chief, stern.de.

This year, the keynote will be made by Hans-Joachim Otto (parliamentary state secretary, Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology).

The highlight of the second day will be the International Broadband Summit. Under the headline “Cable, Fibre and LTE – Who will win the Broadband Battle?“, top managers of the European broadband industry will discuss the increasing competition between the different broadband technologies. Alcatel-Lucent, Cable Labs from the US, Cisco Systems, Kabel Baden-Württemberg, Liberty Global, Motorola and YouSee Denmark will be present. The session will be chaired by Broadband TV News’ Julian Clover. The keynote will be given by Manuel Kohnstamm, president of the European cable association Cable Europe.
