IPTV World Forum – London: Ruwido is to supply Virgin Media with the remote control for its recently announced high definition receiver, extending the 10-year agreement with the Austrian design specialist.
The remote for the V HD box, known as Unified, sports a completely new design and button layout. “We are proud to have been selected once again as a partner for interaction solutions by Virgin Media,” states Ferdinand Maier, Managing Director of ruwido austria. “This choice further demonstrates that our strong approach to design and user experience research is enabling us to provide remote control devices that are a ‘joy to own and a joy to use’ for consumers.”
With the new UNIFIED remote control, Virgin Media once again underlines its aim to combine the best design with the highest quality, as well as enhancing the user experience for its customers.
Since it supplied NTL with a remote in 1999, Ruwido has gone on to provide units to Telewest, and the merged Virgin Media.
