Serbia’s ruling coalition is considering two options for the privatisation of the incumbent telco Telekom Serbia.
Novosti reports that in the first a tender would be held for a 60% stake in the company, while in the second an IPO for 30-40% of shares would take place in the second half of the year. In the latter instance, the state would retain a 20% stake in Telekom Serbia.
Deutsche Telekom has emerged as a clear favourite to buy into the telco, whose total value is believed to be in the region of €4 billion.
