ANGA Cable Show fully booked

March 22, 2010 08.48 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The ANGA Cable Show will start with a fully booked exhibition hall and more than 370 exhibitors from 30 countries on May 4, 2010.

The international highlight of the congress programme will be the Broadband Summit. Under the headline Cable, Fibre and LTE – Who will win the Broadband Battle?, top managers of the European broadband industry will discuss the increasing competition between the different broadband technologies. Alcatel-Lucent, the Cable Labs from the USA, Cisco Systems, Kabel Baden-Württemberg, Liberty Global, Motorola and YouSee Denmark will be present. The keynote will be delivered by Manuel Kohnstamm, president of the European cable association Cable Europe.

Dr. Peter Charissé, MD, ANGA: “We are pleased with the renewed confidence of our exhibitors. Our concept with a close connection between exhibition and congress with a clear focus on business clients of the TV and broadband sector has again proven its success. This year again, ANGA Cable Show will be the most important trade event in Europe, where network operators, producers and content providers are equally doing business.”

The strategy panels of the congress programme will focus on the latest product and sales issues for the broadband industry, as well as on current regulatory aspects. This includes the topics HDTV, 3D TV, VOD, hybrid devices, broadband politics, analogue switch off, copyright and licensing law for digital TV and IPTV plus the role of the housing industry for the cable business.

Agenda topics of the technology panels will be digital head ends, EuroDOCSIS 3.0, HDTV, the migration from HFC to Next Generation Fibre, FTTH, CI Plus, Video over DOCSIS and Triple Play services. The event is rounded off with a special panel for the skilled trade.

A complete overview of the conference programme can be found at the ANGA Cable website.

Tickets to the show and the conference can be ordered online directly from here.
