The Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat ended 2009 with 3,202,000 subscribers, having added 475,000 to its total during the year.
As a result, it claimed a 59% market share among the country’s three leading DTH platforms, which also include Cyfra+ and n.
The number of Cyfrowy Polsat decoders at year’s end meanwhile stood at 3,904,000, compared to 1,540,000 for Cyfra+, 697,000 for n, 441,000 for TNK and 263,000 for TP.
The churn rate for Cyfrowy Polsat in 2009 meanwhile stood at 11%, as opposed to 15% for Cyfra+ and 18% for n.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s revenues in 2009 amounted to PLN1,279 million – €330.6 million (+14%) and EBITDA PLN327 million.
Its adjusted net income, factoring in PLN depreciation against the euro and dollar, was PLN356 million (+10%).
