Comstar-UTS ended 2009 with 128,000 triple play subscribers in Moscow, or 13% fewer than 12 months earlier.
ARPU for such subscribers was meanwhile down by 11% in dollar terms ($17.9/€13.0) but 14% higher in terms of roubles (R565/€14.1).
In the Russian regions, the company’s pay-TV subscriber total grew by 1,202% in 2009 to reach 1,996,000. The total number of pay-TV subscribers nationally at year’s end stood at 2,124,000 (+609%), while the total number of broadband internet subscribers stood at 1,298,000 (+40%).
Comstar-UTS’s revenues in 2009 amounted to R46,929 million (+15%) and OIBDA R18,710 million(+9%), while the operating income was R12,740 million (+4%).
