E! launches in France, The Netherlands and Macedonia

March 17, 2010 07.31 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Comcast International Media Group has announced a number of channel deals for E! International Network in France, The Netherlands and Macedonia.

E! International Network launched on France Telecom’s Orange TV platform via DTH, DSL and fibre as part of the “Bouquet Thematique.” E! boasts 5 million subscribers in France with this new launch, including the channel’s existing carriage on CanalSat, Numericable, SFR and Free TV.

The channel is now available to Dutch cable operator CAIW subscribers as part of the digital “Delight Package.” TE! is also distributed in The Netherlands via UPC, Ziggo and KPN IPTV.

The network has also launched on Boom TV, Macedonian telecommunications operator One’s pay DTT platform. Featuring local subtitling, E! is also available in Macedonia via SBB-owned Total TV’s DTH platform.

“E! International Network has rapidly secured its place as the world’s leading entertainment and celebrity news channel, home to such signature programs as Live from the Red Carpet, E! News, The E! True Hollywood Story, reality favorites Keeping Up With The Kardashians and Girls of the Playboy Mansion, plus many others,” said Brad Wald, MD, EMEA, CIMG, in a statement.
