Guiance rises at Teracom Sweden

February 24, 2010 07.00 Europe/London By Julian Clover

Teracom has named Stephan Guiance as the head of the transmission company’s Swedish operations.

Best known as the founder of the Swedish cable network Sweden On Line and the IPTV operator FastTV, Guiance had been serving as a sales director within Teracom.

“Stephan has extensive experience of the TV market and will be able to develop Teracom Sweden and the digital terrestrial network to meet the increasingly tough competition,” said Crister Fritzson, CEO, Teracom.

Teracom Group recently adopted a new structure, which saw the departure of Per Norman, managing director of the pay-DTT platform Boxer. Instead there will be separate heads for Boxer Sweden, Boxer Denmark and PlusTV in Finland. Guiance’s responsibilities will include the management of Boxer Sweden.
