NonStop Television takes control over Star!

February 17, 2010 08.38 Europe/London By Robert Briel

NonStop Television has taken on full ownership over the Scandinavian, Benelux and Baltic versions of entertainment channel Star!. It now plans to expand Star! to the EMEA region, the company announced today.

NonStop Television takes on full ownership over entertainment channel Star! in the Scandinavian, Baltic and Benelux area under an arrangement with Canadian CTV. NonStop Television also plans to expand the channel in the EMEA region.

Entertainment channel Star! offers behind-the-scenes features, candid interviews with the world’s biggest stars and the best live red carpet coverage of awards, premieres and galas from the world of entertainment and fashion. Through the arrangement, NonStop Television will continue to access some content for Star! from among certain of CTV’s production units until 2011.

“We are excited to develop Star! further and to expand the channel within the EMEA region,” said Ignas Scheynius, CEO at NonStop Television, in a statement.
