CME has been given the go-ahead to sell its TV operations in Ukraine.
According to Kyiv Post, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has approved the deal, first reported last month, that will see the investment company dispose of its Studio 1+1 and Kino Ukrainian TV channels for $300 million (€191.5 million) plus $19 million to fund the Studio 1+1 group until the completion of the deal, expected to take place in the second half of April.
CME’s assets are being bought by the Belize-registered Harley Trade Limited, owned by Igor Kolomoisky, himself a director and shareholder at CME.
