Dutch cable operator Ziggo has appointed Bert Groenewegen as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) starting on March 1, 2010.
Groenewegen is currently a member of the board of directors of De Nederlandse Persgroep, formerly PCM Uitgevers. He was previously chairman of the group, after joining as CFO.
Groenewegen was CFO at Exact Software from 1995 to 2004.
Groenwegen will replace Walter Blom, who was Ziggo’s CFO from its launch in March 2008. Prior to that, Blom oversaw the whole merger process of Casema, @ Home and Multikabel into a single company, Ziggo.
