Turner Broadcasting System’s retro cartoon channel Boomerang is to launch in the Nordic region on February 1.
Boomerang is being added to the children and music package for Viasat’s IPTV and satellite subscribers. The channel will screen classic cartoons including The Flintstones and Looney Tunes with Bugs Bunny.
“We are happy to introduce the family channel Boomerang to Viasat’s many viewers. Boomerang is a really good complement to our children’s channel Cartoon Network, says Bo Falk Østergaard, head of distribution for TBS Nordic.
Viasat already carries Nickelodeon, Disney Channel, Playhouse Disney and Disney XD.
