UPC Nederland is to add content from The Disney Channel and Disney XD to its VOD portal. From February 1, Disney XD will also be available 24 hours a day on the network.
Disney’s VOD offer will consist of six TV series, which will be updated every week. They include Phineas and Ferb (pictured), Zack & Cody, Hannah Montana, Handy Manny and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
At the same time, UPC will distribute Disney XD as a 24-hour channel in its digital bouquet. Until now, the channel is has only been available on analogue and digital time-sliced with Veronica.
The move is part of a minor re-shuffle of UPC’s digital offer. The operator will cease to distribute Chellozone’s Zone Club channel. Earlier, UPC discontinued distribution of Pakistani PTV. Last December, Indonesian international channel Garuda TV pulled the plug on its broadcasts.
