Watch video. Orange and LG Electronics have signed an exclusive agreement to bring the Orange video portal to LG televisions sets in France, the two companies announced at the CES in Las Vegas. The three-year partnership will start in March 2010.
The dedicated Orange portal will offer a range of entertainment and information services from the operator, including Orange Sport Info, the news service 24/24 Actu and live radio, with dozens of radio stations, as well as other content such as TV shows, videos, music and more. The portal does not give access to the regular Orange IPTV service with streaming channels and on-demand programming; it seems to serve more as a sampler.
“Thanks to our partnership with Orange, we are offering our customers a rich and very easy-to-use portal, allowing them to benefit from a complete range of multimedia content and services, as well as unlimited connectivity in their living room,” said Eric Surdej, executive VP and general manager of LG Electronics France, in a statement.
