The international news channel Russia Today has begun broadcasting in Spanish.
The service, which was launched in 2005, already broadcasts in English in over 100 countries. It has also been available in Arabic since May 2007.
The new service is being produced by a staff of 200, of whom 35 are from Spanish-speaking countries. It is expected to have a potential audience of several million people.
