SES Astra has entered into a partnership with the Bulgarian telecom operator Neterra.
Under it, Nettera will use capacity on SES Astra’s 31.5 degrees East orbital slot to provide broadcasters in Bulgaria and Balkan region with an optimised solution to deliver their content to cable and terrestrial headends in the region.
The services will be uplinked from Neterra’s teleport in Sofia, and the first broadcaster to use the service will be the Bulgarian channel TV 7.
The 31.5 degrees East orbital slot is SES Astra’s latest one targeting the East European market.
