Sky Italia is to adopt the Brightcove platform for online content management and publishing ad-supported customized video players.
The move will allow the News Corp-owned company, which has close to 5 million subscribers, to expand its online audience in Italy through the platform’s third-party distribution, advanced sharing features and analytics capabilities.
It will also allow Sky Italia to create highly customized viewing experiences, including Serie A football league highlights.
Brightcove already lists BSkyB, Sky Deutschland and Fox Entertainment amongst its clients.
