The Latvian incumbent telco Lattelecom ended October with 192,000 broadband internet subscribers, or 6% more than at the beginning of the year. In October alone, it secured a record 4,500 new customers.
Its fibre optic network, which offers internet access speeds of up to 200 Mbps, has already posted 5,000 subscribers in the capital, Riga, and IPTV platform 40,000 subscribers.
The TeliaSonera company in addition says it will be installing digital TV reception equipment in social care establishments throughout Latvia.
