Five more local DVB-T muxes in Saxony

October 31, 2009 11.22 Europe/London By Robert Briel

SLM, the media authority of the German state of Saxony, has issued local DVB-T licences for five more regions following the successful experiment with low-powered DVB-T transmitters in the city of Leipzig.

The first multiplex is for the city of Dresden. It goes to Bibel TV, JayJay.TV, the local channels Dresden Eins, kanal 8 – dresden, kanal 8 – sachsen and kanal 8 – Immobilien, a real estate channel, and the religious radio station Radio Horeb.

In the city of Chemnitz, licences have been issued for Sachsen Fernsehen Chemnitz, kanal 8 – sachsen and kanal 8 – Immobilien, Bibel TV and Radio Horeb.

In the city of Zwickau, licences have been issued for TeleVision Zwickau, kanal 8 – sachsen and kanal 8 – Immobilien, Bibel TV and Radio Horeb.

In the towns of Plauen and Auerbach licences went to Vogtland Regional Fernsehen, an again Bibel TV.

The city of Görlitz will receive broadcasts from euro-Regional tv and Bibel TV.

In Leipzig, broadcasts from Leipzig Fernsehen, BBC World, Bibel TV Stiftung, info-tv-leipzig, Radio Leipzig and Radio Horeb have been on the air since the spring of 2008.
